This 13-year-old Speyside Single Malt was bottled at cask strength from a Hogshead in 2023 with 53.2% ABV. It’s a real peated fruit bomb with hints of buttery shortbread. It also has a really great balance of alcohol, peat and fruits plus some roasted nuts on top! Needless to say, this Speyside can easily keep up with many Islay whiskies.

Tasting notes:
Nose: A fascinating potpourri of ripe maritime notes, which are accompanied by the engaging sweetness of the Bourbon High Heavily Charred barrel. A gentle citrus note is added, complemented by a strong malt aroma. The incredibly complex honey sweetness interweaves harmoniously with an outstanding smoky character
Palate: In the mouth the whisky unfolds its full splendor and takes you on a stony hike through the hills and valleys of Speyside. The maritime character takes you to the coast, where you feel the salty sea breeze. A delicate malty sweetness accompanies this impression, while fresh notes refresh the senses. The combination of maritime elements and gentle sweetness makes this whiskey an unforgettable pleasure.
Finish: The finish is engaging and clear, with a lasting quality. The smoky nuances linger gently and evoke memories of the maritime experience. The sweet accents stay present and add an extra dimension. A touch of salty sea air rounds off the taste experience and gives it a pleasant balance.
