MALTS OF SCOTLAND, or MoS for short, was founded in 2005 in Paderborn, Westphalia, by whisky enthusiast Thomas Ewers. The Scotch whisky specialist was able to establish himself as a darling of the whisky scene in a very short time. Over the years contacts with various distilleries in Scotland have been established and intensified. Today – more than a decade later – MALTS OF SCOTLAND is one of the best and often award-winning Scotch whisky bottlers. Worldwide!

The essential thing about all MALTS OF SCOTLAND bottlings is the consistently high quality of the bottlings. Here, quality is always much more important than quantity. Right from the start, founder Thomas Ewers recognized that it is important not only to buy mature whiskies, but also to create and build on a solid foundation of so-called “New Make”.

Founder Thomas Ewers has already bottled many unusual and sought-after casks of very special quality with great expertise and a “good nose”. Today, the treasures of MALTS OF SCOTLAND are stored and matured in over 80 different warehouses across Scotland, and the number is constantly growing. The choice of dishes selected for New Make is also crucial. They come, for example, from Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and the USA. Oloroso, Pedro Ximinéz, Bourbon etc. are among the guarantors of unique taste experiences. MALTS OF SCOTLAND will continue to be able to fill high quality and interesting casks in the future.

A clear goal for Thomas Ewers is to establish the brand MALTS OF SCOTLAND as a quality brand….Every bottle a benchmark
